Julie Thompson's first book, Timeless Love, addresses a child's need for assurance during common situations of family and social change. Timeless Love is a story is a love story - a tale in which a mother shows her son that her love for him is limitless.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. As a mom of a young black boy, this story was vibrant and relatable. Despite not being a single mom Julie's story made me appreciate her experience. The pictures are vibrant and true, the story is realistic and will help families and kids understand the complexity of dating as a single mom. A great addition to every home library.
This is a must-have in your children's book collection. It addresses a simple but complicated topic. Dealing with being a single mother and dating. This is something we don't often think about or address on a public platform and that is why this book is so important to have. It is definitely a great story not only for kids who are dealing with the same experiences it is great for the many different types of families we have today to have in their collection. We need to have more stories with racialized people telling them. Not to mention the beautiful illustrations that capture all the emotions. Thank you for this. Looking forward to reading more!
Well written and a story which many parents can relate to. The illustrations are beautiful! A must have!
I have 2 kids under 10, and found this book a sweet and appropriate way to address single parents dating. An enjoyable bedtime story for the kids & myself and prompted good conversation. Beautifully illustrated.

Beautiful illustrations and great story line for children. The story is very real and something many parents and children have or will go through in their lives. A great way to communicate a difficult topic with your children. Loved it!
